' sea to sky '

archival pigment print

30 x 48 inches
(smaller sizes available)

In a municipal works yard I discovered an old rusted support beam covered with peeling paint. The L shaped beam was photographed on its side and the blue along the bottom of the image is lying flat. By focusing in close and cropping the image, I have created an image that appears much like an ocean sky at sunset. The shadow on the far right of the image gives the illusion of an outcropping of land.
