On the side of a railcar, I found this interesting circular shape. It would appear that there had been a round plate bolted to the metal, which had recently been removed. The weathered, dusty surface surrounding the circle provides a neutral counterpoint to the original red paint. I intentionally cropped the writing to abstract the piece. Though much of the side of the railcar is dirty, the railway personnel keep the written information clean for legibility, which worked in my favour artistically.
