I found this derelict caboose in a train museum. I was fortunate to capture this before its inevitable restoration for museum display, like so many other railcars in the yard. I was immediately attracted to its red paint, then fell in love with its peeling surface of abstract shapes. The window had long since lost its glass and in an effort to preserve the crumbling facade, reinforcement walls were supporting on the inside, creating texture within a frame.
