The 100 ft tall steel monument by Bernar Venet on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice, France commemorates the 150th anniversary of annexation. The art was designed 'to symbolize the nine valleys around Nice as well as its surrounding mountains pointing to the sea'. I captured this during the Italian Food Festival, with peaks of the many food tents emphasizing the concept of mountains at its base.
