Train yards are one of my favorite photography locations.  Many railcars seem to have been owned by a succession of railway companies in their long years of service.  Each subsequent owner paints over the previous identifying marks, replacing them with their own.  Sometimes the result is an interesting patchwork of many colors.  The appealing hues on the side of this particular railcar reminded me of a Mark Rothko painting, and I couldn’t resist the play on words.
