A historic sixty-foot fish boat was under full restoration in a shipyard, being stripped of a hundred years of paint layers, inside and out. This is a wall in the galley where cupboards, shelves and benches were stripped away, leaving areas of stained and distressed wood. I see the suggestion of animal figures, reminiscent of the ancient cave paintings in Lascaux, France.
